Mrs. Highfield is an experienced and passionate educator dedicated to inspiring young minds and sharing the love of Christ. She has been a part of Livingston Christian School’s family since 2018. She received her bachelors in elementary education from Pensacola Christian College with a minor in history. Mrs. Highfield has been teaching fourth grade since coming to LCS.
She grew up in a family with six older siblings and was homeschooled from kindergarten through twelfth grade. She was actively involved in her local 4-H group growing up. She raised many farm animals and even participated in sewing competitions. She played basketball in college. This inspired her to serve as the middle school girls’ basketball coach as well as assistant coach to the high school girls’ basketball teams at the school for a few years.
Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Highfield loves time with her two boys and husband who also teaches at the school. She enjoys time outside in nature and crafting. A favorite activity is camping in the Upper Peninsula in the summertime.
“My love for the Lord motivates me to prioritize my students’ belonging and value in the classroom. It amazes me every day how God can work and move to grow even the youngest minds to serve Him in incredible ways. It is a joy for me to invest in the lives of the students in my care.”
