Marge Chiesa-Call is the Student Support Teacher at Livingston Christian Schools. Her role is to provide academic support to both teachers and students in the elementary grades. She graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelors and Masters degrees. She chose to accept the opportunity to be a part of a Christ-centered ministry at LCS as a Kindergarten and K-4 teacher.
Multisensory teaching, using more than one sense to learn concepts, is the framework she believes is the most effective method to link what students are learning with what they have already mastered. One of her students, who struggled to believe that she could do things that seemed difficult, carried one of Marge’s favorite verses Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” throughout her school years. This student even chose to write this passage of scripture on her graduation cap. As a lifelong learner, she enjoys reading, Bible studies, as well as, online classes through Spring Arbor University, and Hillsdale College.
“The privilege and freedom to pray with and for our students is a precious blessing at our school.”
Two of her other favorite Bible passages are Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” and Numbers 6:24-26, “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”
